A browser flight sim built in about three hours. $1M a year, 17 days later.

What it is
A free browser MMO flight simulator: no download, no sign-up, pick a plane and dogfight whoever else is online. Pieter Levels built the first version with Cursor in roughly three hours and kept building it live on X.
The money came from in-game advertising — branded blimps and billboards sold to other founders — plus a $29.99 fighter-jet upgrade. Seventeen days after he started, he posted a $1M annual run rate.
Read the revenue figure with its date attached. It is a run rate measured at the peak of an extraordinary launch, not a year of collected revenue, and the attention it was built on did not hold.
Timeline
Founder
Built Nomad List, Remote OK and Photo AI. Has launched in public and posted his revenue every month for over a decade.
How it broke out
Three days in, Elon Musk reposted it — "Wow, this is cool. AI gaming will be massive" — to a following in the hundreds of millions. That is the moment the graph turns.
It landed on ten years of groundwork rather than on nothing: Levels had spent a decade launching forty-odd products in public and posting his revenue every month, so there was already a crowd standing where he dropped it.
