Privacy policy

Above Yellow ("we", "us") runs aboveyellow.com. This page explains what we collect when you use the site, why, who else handles it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

• Your account. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google. We do not see or store your Google password.
• Your purchases. For each order we keep what you bought, the amount, the plan, and whether the payment succeeded, along with the type of device and operating system it was made on.
• Your payment details — we do not. Payments are taken by Razorpay. Your card, UPI or bank details go to Razorpay directly and never reach our servers. If you type a WhatsApp number at checkout, it is only passed to Razorpay's form; we do not store it.
• What you make. The portfolios, templates and shelves you edit, and anything you upload to them, are stored so you can come back to them.
• The calorie tracker, if you use it. The details you enter — sex, height, weight, activity level and goal — your meal log and weight entries, and the meal photos you take. Photos are sent to an AI image-analysis service (Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude) to estimate what is on the plate. Deleting your calorie account deletes these.
• How the site is used. A random identifier kept in your browser, the pages you visit, and steps you take in the portfolio builder (for example, opening a template). This is not linked to your name unless you are signed in.

Why we use it

• To give you access to what you have bought, and keep your work saved.
• To process payments and handle refunds. Razorpay sends the payment receipt.
• To answer you when you write to us.
• To understand which pages and projects are useful, and fix what is not.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who else handles it

• Google — sign-in, and meal-photo analysis in the calorie tracker.
• Razorpay — payments.
• Supabase — our database and file storage.
• Vercel — hosts the website.
• Anthropic — meal-photo analysis in the calorie tracker, when it is the service in use.

Each handles your data under its own privacy policy, and only to provide its service to us.

Cookies and your browser

We use cookies to keep you signed in, and your browser's storage to remember the random identifier described above. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account, purchases and saved work for as long as your account is open, and purchase records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by writing to team@aboveyellow.com. We will reply within 30 days.

Children

Above Yellow is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
