Space Adventure
Step 1: Decide Your Story
Choose a simple story idea for children (ages 3–7).
Examples:

Step 2: Open ChatGPT
Tell ChatGPT your story title.
Example:

Then use your storyboard prompt.
Let's create the storyboard for the kids' storybook video, which should be "read to me", and we have to communicate in such a way that the video should be created in the format of a YouTube video. It should not be longer than 5 minutes. It should be very colourful like the famous kids' storybooks. We will be creating the first storybook on a <space exploration> theme with the story title "Luna's first trip to space".
Let's create the visuals for each scene with the real storyboard, and each scene of that storyboard communicates what the sequence of that scene is and what the title of that scene is, and put all that information in a single storyboard. With that, also create a single table with the following columns:
- Scene number
- Scene sequence
- Scene name
- Scene description
- Scene voiceover and scene duration
Ask ChatGPT to generate:
The output should be ready for AI image and video generation.
Step 3: Generate the Storyboard Images
Ask ChatGPT to generate one image for every storyboard scene.
Each image should:
- Match the storyboard exactly
- Keep the same characters throughout
- Use the same outfit, hairstyle, colours, and expressions
- Follow a colourful children's storybook style
- Have no text inside the image
You'll end up with one image for each scene.
Step 4: (Optional) Add Your Own Character
Want the main character to look like someone?
Simply upload a reference photo to ChatGPT before generating the images.
Examples:
- Your child
- Yourself
- A client
- Any custom character
ChatGPT will keep that person's appearance consistent throughout the storybook.
This is especially useful for personalised storybooks.
Step 5: Open Google Flow
Upload the storyboard image for one scene at a time.
Then copy and paste the visual prompt generated by ChatGPT for that scene.
Google Flow will animate the image into an 8–10 second cinematic video clip.
Repeat this process for every scene.

Remove all the text overlays on the reference image

Step 6: Alternative — Higgsfield
Instead of Google Flow, you can also use Higgsfield.
It works similarly:
- Upload your storyboard image
- Paste the visual prompt
- Generate an animated clip
Higgsfield is a good alternative if you prefer its motion styles or camera controls.
Step 7: Keep Character Consistency
If your story includes the same character across multiple scenes, enable World Story (or the equivalent character consistency feature available in your video generation tool).
This helps maintain:
- The same face
- Hairstyle
- Clothing
- Colors
- Overall character identity
As a result, every scene feels like part of the same story instead of introducing a different-looking character each time.
Step 8: Repeat for Every Scene
Continue until every storyboard scene has been converted into an individual video clip.
Example:
- Scene 1 → Video
- Scene 2 → Video
- Scene 3 → Video
- …
- Scene 10 → Video
You'll now have all the clips needed for your story.
Step 9: Merge Everything in the Edits App
Import every clip into the Edits app.
Arrange them according to the storyboard sequence.
Add:
- Scene transitions
- Narration
- Background music
- Sound effects (optional)
- Captions (optional)
The final video should feel like a complete "Read to Me" children's storybook.
Step 10: Export
Export the video in:
- 1080p
- 9:16 (Instagram Reels / Shorts)
or
- 16:9 (YouTube Kids)
Choose the format that matches your publishing platform.
Step 11: Upload to YouTube Kids
Create:
- A colorful thumbnail
- A kid-friendly title
- A simple description
- Relevant keywords
Upload the finished video to YouTube.
Repeat the same workflow for new stories to build your own library of children's content.
