Edit a reel in six steps, on your own computer
Upload one take of you talking to camera. Take out the pauses and mistakes, add captions with highlights, a hook, sounds and a cover, then export. Your video never leaves your computer.
AY Video Editor works on a laptop or desktop. Open this page on your computer to try it.
Made in AY Video Editor from one raw take.
Six steps, each one done properly
The editor guides you through them in order. Everything saves as you go, and you can step back any time.
Cut
Long pauses, retakes and “um”s come out on their own. Click any word in your transcript to cut it or bring it back.
Captions
Word by word, never over your face. Highlighter, word box, coloured word or underline, in one of nine colour themes.
Hook
A title for your opening line, so people stop scrolling. Eight templates, shown on your own video.
Sounds
Drag a pop, whoosh or ding onto the timeline where you want it. Add your own music; it dips under your voice.
Thumbnail
Pick your best frame, add a few words, and see how the cover crops in your profile grid.
Export
A 1080×1920 MP4 at the loudness Reels expects, a captions file for YouTube, and your thumbnail.

Questions
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. The editor runs on your computer. Your video, transcript and exports stay in a folder in your Movies (or Videos) folder.
Does it cost anything?
The editor is free. It runs inside Claude Code, which needs a Claude plan you may already have.
Which languages work?
English and Hindi. Your words are written down as you said them, never translated.
How long does an export take?
About 1 to 2 minutes for every 30 seconds of video, on a recent laptop.
Can Claude help with the edit?
Yes. The editor and Claude share the same project, so you can ask Claude to fix a word, change the hook or add a sound, and you'll see it in the editor.
